The study “Tipping Point to Zero: Evidence towards a Child Marriage Free India” was carried out by Centre for Legal Action and Behaviour Change for Children (C-LAB), an initiative of India Child Protection (ICP), in collaboration with Outline India Research Pvt Ltd. It examines the prevalence, drivers, community perceptions, legal awareness, and responses to child marriage across selected regions in India. Using a multi-stage stratified random sampling approach across 757 villages in 15 districts, the research captured quantitative and qualitative data on socio-demographic factors, school attendance among girls, legal awareness, and perceptions of drivers and deterrents of child marriage.
