American Institutes for Research (AIR) and its partner Outline India designed and implemented a social impact assessment on the characteristics of 1) organic cotton farmers, 2) cotton farmers licensed by the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), and 3) conventional cotton farmers in the Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh, India. For this assessment, we used a survey with a large sample of 3,628 households to draw comparisons in socio-economic outcomes.
