Job Description

The Sr. Project Coordinator will plan, design, conduct and manage research projects and ensure high-quality deliverables. He / She will work on a variety of methods to collect, analyze and organize information and data. We are looking for someone who is interested in working with a young and growing social enterprise and is keen on contributing to its growth within the development/social sector space.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proposal writing 

  • Must know:

    Field related responsibilities: Field coordination Preparation of Field budget Preparation of Field SoW (Scope of Work) Preparation of Field report Preparation of Field contract

  • Using appropriate and creative methodologies to design and manage research projects, which involve the use of quantitative and/or qualitative methods 

  • Planning, budgeting and allocating resources  for an entire project

  • Designing questionnaires and guides

  • Analysing evaluating and interpreting data, while making sure that key issues are identified

  • Mentoring and guiding researchers in research projects and ensure timely delivery and quality of all deliverables

  • Handling/leading client meetings, presentations

  • Supervising and assisting the research team in developing training material for the field team

  • Travel to the field for the purpose of training and monitoring fieldwork 

  • Managing and monitoring of datasets on a regular basis

Qualifications

  • A Ph.D, MPhil, or Masters degree from a reputed institution 

  • Expertise in field coordination, quantitative and qualitative research;

  • Strong written and oral communication skills 

  • Strong Microsoft Excel, and presentation skills.;

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the development sector in India;

  • Have and help build a network to loop in experts, advisors, other consultants;

  • Strong management skills, ability to multi task and take responsibility for the timely completion of projects;

  • Innovative and receptive to working on new ideas and proposals

At Outline India, the Sr. Project Coordinator may find himself or herself building proposals, liaising with clients, interacting and brainstorming with our in-house researchers, devising methodologies, working on pertinent research projects of interest and expertise, interviewing candidates, or evaluating tests among many other activities. 

An association with Outline India gives the Sr. Project Coordinator an opportunity to represent Outline India at various start-up and academic forums, serve as a panel participant at conferences, author research pieces or articles for academic journals or newspapers and visit rural or remote locations across India for field work and interaction with the locals. 

Note: This is a high-level position requiring an experienced candidate in the development sector. Fresh graduates and candidates with 0-3 years exposure will not be suitable.

Job Description

Outline India provides solutions for implementing high-quality, authentic field surveys across India. We have previously worked in 23 states for projects on WASH, education, health, gender, etc. By following a rigorous methodology with quality checks at each stage of the data collection process, the Project Coordinator is required to ensure accuracy and smooth completion of all data collection activities. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fieldwork and field planning. 

  • Project Coordination with field staff and research team about logistics, bill filings, and payments. 

  • Checking and approving transcription/translation and coordinating with external vendors. 

  • Draft research protocol documents and guidelines. 

  • Drafting project invoices, EOIs, and proposals including formatting documents. 

  • Assisting with data cleaning and analysis.

Job Description

We are looking for a Hindi Translator to interpret written and audio pieces in different languages, maintaining their original meaning, format and tone. Translator responsibilities include reading and thoroughly understanding the context of given material, using specialized dictionaries and translation tools and proofreading finished pieces of work. To be successful in this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and be fluent in at least two languages in addition to your native language. Ultimately, you will provide ready-to-use translated content that meets our internal needs and helps us reach a broader audience. We require someone interested in working with a young and growing social enterprise and keen on contributing to its growth within the development/social sector space.

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Translate tools and training materials from English to Hindi and vice-versa

● Read given material and research industry-specific terminology

● Convert text and audio recordings from one language to one or more others

● Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone

● Prepare subtitles for videos and online presentations

● Cross-reference specialized dictionaries and translation tools to check the quality of translation

● Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy

● Follow up with internal team members and clients to ensure translation meets their needs

● Edit content with an eye toward maintaining its original format (e.g. font and structure)

● Network with field experts to stay current on new translation tools and practices


Qualifications

● Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter or similar role

● Fluency in English and Hindi is a must. Good command of languages like Gujarati, Oriya, Tamil and Marathi is a plus point.

Reporting and working closely with the team at Outline India, the quantitative researcher will be engaging primarily in enforcing quantitative methodologies and implementing survey tools on digital platforms, training field teams, and ensuring field surveys are planned and implemented in a structured manner.

Proposal

  •      Secondary research and sampling for proposals.

Fieldwork planning and execution


  •      Developing, coding, and deploying survey tools using CAPI programs like Survey CTO.
  •      Review of survey tools received from clients and translation of the same.

  •     Travel to the field for the purpose of training and monitoring fieldwork (on hold during covid19).
  •     Training field team on the usage of CAPI on tablets (virtual during covid19).

Qualifications

Essential:

The principal duties of a Human Resource Recruiter will include:

  • Developing and administering human resources plans and procedures that relate to company personnel. Recommending new policies, approaches, and procedures.
  • Overseeing recruitment efforts for all personnel, which includes creating and revising job descriptions and placing job ads.
  • Developing, analyzing, and updating the company’s salary budget. Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc.).
  • Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies).
  • Conducting new employee orientations and employee relations counselling.

The Sr. Qualitative Researcher will closely work on research projects, developing study designs and survey instruments, conducting fieldwork, and writing reports. We are looking for someone who has experience in conducting interviews and focus group discussions and is willing to travel across the country for fieldwork.

  • Preparing research proposals (working on the method and sampling, both quantitative and qualitative for monitoring and evaluation, impact assessment studies).
